Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Fellow (Higher) in Vascular Surgery to commence as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.

This is a busy Vascular Surgical job that offers the chance to gain experience in one of the highest volume Vascular Departments in the UK. Duties of the post include the management of patients in ward, outpatient and theatre settings including a 1:6 regional Vascular Surgery on call commitment. With 2 other middle grades and a hybrid theatre suite, this would be an excellent post for senior or post-CCT trainees looking to refine open and endovascular skills prior to taking up a Consultant post.

The post can also be adapted for applicants not in a formal training scheme or those wishing to gain further experience of endovenous interventions (including deep venous stenting) or diabetic foot disease.

In collaboration with the University and other hospital departments, Cambridge is full of opportunities for candidates wishing to expand their research profile. Cambridge University Health Partners, the academic health sciences centre, in conjunction with the Institute of Continuing Education at The University of Cambridge are pleased to offer a one year Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Medicine to all clinicians employed in Cambridge. Further details and registration please see the weblink provided in the job description for this post.

In order to be considered applicants must hold full registration with the GMC and a current licence to practice. Applicants must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
