The directorate of Women and Children’s Health is looking to appoint a Consultant Obstetrician with subspecialty accreditation in Feto-Maternal Medicine. This is a busy tertiary level hospital that takes referrals from the surrounding area in both Fetal and Maternal Medicine.

We are a dynamic and forward thinking team that is keen to recruit colleague who will work flexibly and adapt to the changing needs of the service we provide.

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to both inpatient and outpatient services with multidisciplinary clinics. The appointee will work within a team of 12 Obstetricians and 11 Gynaecologists. The applicant will also contribute to the out of hours services in Obstetrics participating in a non-resident on-call rota. There are approximately 6000 deliveries annually and we wish to increase the direct consultant labour ward cover in line with the RCOG guidelines.

The appointee will be expected to participate in both undergraduate and post-graduate teaching and training within the Rosie Hospital as part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The post will be 10 PA's to support the expansion of Consultant cover on delivery unit.

You should be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of the interview.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
