Nursing, Midwifery and Health Care Support Worker Open Day

Saturday 9th February 2019, 0930-1600

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) is one of the largest and best known Trust's in the country. We deliver care through Addenbrooke's and the Rosie Hospitals, offering general, specialist, women's and maternity care respectively.                                                                                                                                                                                After a very successful Open Day back in June 2018 we have decided to open our doors once again to the public to give them an opportunity to hear about different career prospects with Nursing, Midwifery and Health Care Support Worker Roles.

The event will be held in the Deakin Centre which is located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (Addenbrooke’s Hospital). You’ll find it on Richard Howe Way, adjacent to the Main Hospital Car Park (Car park 1).

Representatives from various departments across the hospitals will be there to talk to the public about the specialties and experience you can gain by working with us here at CUH. Why not come along to our open day and meet our amazing staff to find out more about building your career with CUH.

No need to book, just turn up on the day!

Keep a look out on our Website and Twitter page for more information leading up to the event!

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
