Our Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people – patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Quality Care Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values – Together- safe, kind, excellent – are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic pharmacist to join the Surgery team as a specialist pharmacist for surgical pre-admission, in addition to providing an advanced clinical pharmacy service to surgical patients.

The successful post-holder will work closely with the surgical pre-admission team, surgical team and pharmacy department to facilitate best practice for medicines management. In addition to a regular clinical commitment in the pre-admission clinic the role will provide opportunities for the successful candidate to gain invaluable experience in line management, team leadership, guideline development, clinical governance and service development.

The post holder will be fully supported by their line manager to enable them to develop the skills required for a lead pharmacist role.

If you are interested in this opportunity we would be delighted to hear from you and welcome requests for informal visits.
