Our Trust

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 9000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people – patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing ‘outstanding’ care to our patients and rated ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH’s values – Together- safe, kind, excellent – are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

We have an excellent opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to join our rotational team.

We are able to offer an extensive rotation which currently includes the In-Patient Dispensary, Ward based Medicines Management, Clinical Trial Dispensary and the Aseptic Unit including the Cytotoxic & TPN suites. We are hoping to extend the rotation further to include Medicines Information, Procurement and Pharmacy Stores.

This essential role provides the opportunity for committed Pharmacy Technicians to put their skills into practice, working with innovative technology and systems, whilst also continuing to build further skills for future career progression.

As a training grade, we aim to provide opportunities via our Education and Training team to gain a national certification in Final Checking (ACPT), Medicines Management (MM) and Medicine Reconciliation (MR).

We are looking for highly motivated registered Pharmacy Technicians with excellent organisational skills, able to work under pressure whilst ensuring accuracy in all aspects of technical pharmacy.

NB. Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technicians qualifying within the next 3 months are eligible to apply.

The closing date for this post will be the 21st November 2018.

Interviews will held on the 29th November 2018.
