An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 Patient Flow Manager within Paediatric Services at Cambridge University Hospitals on a fixed term contract for 6 months.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and well organised person to work as a bed manager in an extremely fast paced moving environment. Dedicated to delivering a high standard of care you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and develop your skills and knowledge.

The post holder will have excellent communication skills, be able to co-ordinate and collate real time information on current and predicted bed availability and facilitate the effective use of acute Paediatric hospital and hostel wide bed capacity.

The post holder will work independently, using their own initiative and judgment. This role is central to the flow of patients within the Division and meeting the national waiting times for the emergency department and elective patients.

The successful candidate will have a sound and effective decision making skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

This post will include evening and weekend working hours.

Please note:- Internal applicants on permanent contracts can only apply for this post as a secondment and must have the approval of your current line manager before applying.

The closing date for this post will be the 21st January 2018.

Interviews are due to be held on the 1st February 2018.
